Chapter One Activities and Membership Information

The Washington, D.C. Chapter of Ikebana International is Chapter No.1 as it was the home of Ellen Gordon Allen, the founder of Ikebana International, and the first chapter outside of the Tokyo Founding chapter to be formed. It is a vibrant, stimulating organization composed of many talented teachers of ikebana and dedicated members.

The activities of the Washington, D.C. Chapter include:

bulletGeneral workshops for all members three times a year
bulletLuncheon demonstrations for members and guests three times a year
bulletAnnual exhibition of ikebana open to the public
